11-16 research Kristin Norderval

  • Studio LOOS 20B De Constant Rebecqueplein Den Haag, ZH, 2518 RA Netherlands (map)

During my research period one of the things I am exploring is the interaction of embodied and disembodied voice(s) in sound designs from the micro to the macro.

March 13 is a day for micro explorations, using embroidered coil speakers to diffuse the disembodied voice. We will be testing the system to see how robust the bluetooth signal is, how to combine it with other audio signals in the main system and how our physical movements allow or impede the intimate balance between the direct acoustic voice in the room and the very quiet disembodied voices that will vibrate in the palm of the hand of the listener/wearer of the glove.

With Anja Hertenberger - creator of the embroidered coil speaker that I showed you - and Myra-Ida van der Veen, singer-composer
