16-21 research Kristin Norderval on RAD

  • Studio LOOS 20B De Constant Rebecqueplein Den Haag, ZH, 2518 RA Netherlands (map)

In my research experimenting with Robert Pravda´s rotating speaker, I aim to create a piece that explores the use of feedback from voice and piano signals - combining the acoustic signals in the room and their mediated signals in the RAD speaker. Henri Colombat, pianist-composer, will join me, and hopefully a second pianist and additional singers,Rotating Audio Device

Performative installation R.A.D. is an attempt to approach sound spatialisation with one monophonic sound source that can be set in adjustable rotational motion. The loudspeaker is treated rather as an instrument than as a static sound projection source.
