Dependency - exploring common space for interdisciplinary performance
This performance is part of ongoing research by Ranjith Hegde. The research revolves around integrating electroacoustic music with other artistic disciplines. In this performance, artists function in pairs, never the same discipline in the pair. One musician is paired with a movement artist, making musical decisions based on the movement activities and exploring dependencies by having the movement artist control the sound in certain places. Another musician shares a score with a moving camera, the camera entangled with the movement artist.
The video and audio from this space will be projected in Schoenbergzaal (KonCon) to be used as a score by two musicians, whose sound intern influences two dancers on stage
