The Hague based singer Marie Guilleray and Paris-based guitarist Federico Casagrande met three years ago in Holland. From the very first time they established a deep musical connection that led them to develop their own concept. Since then the'yve been playing sessions every time they would meet and share their musical growth.
Slowly they left behind the initial playing through jazz standards, moving towards the kingdom of free improvisation. Classical trained Italian guitar player Federico Casagrande brings up his strong and organic harmonic and compositional point of view, along with a modern electric sound and some prepared instrument research. By her side French singer Marie Guilleray traces refined melodies but also makes the voice become an instrument of exploration of sounds. The result is an emotional atmosphere that goes from minimal Nordic landscapes to mediterranean passions.

Lumisokea
Lumisokea plays improvised electronic music ; not your usual "I- prepared-30-loops-and-I' mplaying-them-in-random-order" kind of electronic live performance, but two people building the music from scratch, in real-time. Through intense communication on-stage, Lumisokea manages to sound like one meta-instrument, combining the attention to detail and structure of studio based music with the uncompromising immediacy of real-time improvisation.
Reflecting its name ("Lumisokea" means "snowblind" in Finnish), a sense of dark introspectiveness pervades the music, which ranges from minimalist sound sculptures to high-intensity beat/drone walls of sound.
Lumisokea is :
