De KATHEDRAAL ZINGT

This part of LOOS Channel is a 4-edition series about the work “The Cathedral Sings” ("De Kathedraal Zingt" in Dutch), a production of IOM-AIM Research at Studio LOOS, premiered during the inauguration of the Cathedral of Thorns on Curacao on February 2, 2020. Initially intended as one broadcast about how “The Cathedral Sings” came into being, planned to be showcased on 2 February 2021, the date of the anniversary of the Cathedral of Thorns, the enthusiasm of the Cathedral team with the delivery of new video material dated 2021 turned out to be so great that a different approach would be appropriate.

This resulted in 4 consecutive editions where the input of the designer/maker of the cathedral, artist Herman van Bergen, Daisy Casimiri (President Fundashon di Artista Curacao) and co-operators, makers and artists was always requested and received with a great spirit.

Director/maker/compiler of the complete 4 edition series is musician/composer Peter van Bergen, director of LOOS, Studio LOOS, LOOS Channel.
